OPEN POSITIONS

Production Manager

As the Production Manager you will own the production process to deliver quality products on time to our customers. We offer a high level of product customisation, so the process will be varied and can be complex. You will focus on managing the factory team across multiple shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver the production plan including scheduling, workforce planning, monitoring progress, resolving problems and reporting results. Optimise equipment operation working with the Maintenance team
  • Lead a team of up to 70 employees - permanent and temporary labour. Ensuring employees succeed by providing clarity in job expectations and behaviours, ensuring they receive the required training and development opportunities, and are recognised for their efforts.
  • Maintain a safe production environment, enforcing BAC standards and compliance standards
  • Ensure quality to BAC standards and compliance standards
  • Lead/perform risk assessments.
  • Drive continuous improvement
  • Contribute to production planning and budgeting
  • Coordinate with key internal and external production stakeholders
Qualifications
  • 2+ years experience in a similar role in an industrial manufacturing environment, ideally HVACR
  • LEAN qualification /experience
  • Strong team leadership skills
  • Relevant trade or degree qualification desirable
Ideally you will have
  • In depth knowledge of, and experience working with continuous improvement tools, techniques and methodologies
  • Experience in Behavioural Based Safety systems
  • Experience in Quality systems

Continuous Improvement Specialist

Somersby, Gosford & Central Coast NSW

The Continuous Improvement Specialist focuses on leading and driving operational improvements to make a real contribution to BAC achieving its strategic growth targets.

Responsibilities include:
  • In consultation with management and other stakeholders, analyse, identify, and design opportunities for improvement across our manufacturing processes that deliver improved safety, quality, efficiencies, or cost reduction.
  • Implement and, monitor and report on our BACX program - BAC’s global operational excellence program
  • Project manage nominated key customer projects including providing problem solving and technical support to teams, reporting, and monitoring
  • Process map for the purposes of identifying non-value adding work, bottlenecks, material and time wastage. Propose methods to remove or mitigate the impact of the identified issues
  • Communicate / report on KPIs and projects across stakeholders including the leadership team, global BACX team, site supervisors and the production team
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships across functions
  • Network with peers across the global BAC production facilities for best practice benchmarking
  • Model safety leadership behaviours, and provide technical input to safe systems of work and hazard identification across the production plant.
  • Demonstrate behaviours that align to BAC’s values of Innovation, Courage, Responsibility and Trust.
About you:
  • Degree or trade qualified (eg., Business, Engineering) plus minimum 2years experience, or 5+ years of experience leading the implementation of business wide continuous improvement initiatives
  • LEAN qualified
  • In-depth understanding of continuous improvement tools, techniques and methodologies.
  • Experience in delivering change and sustainable improvement in a manufacturing environment
  • Project management systems experience
  • Demonstrated experience in capital expenditure processes, planning, and execution.

Quality Officer

The Quality Officer purpose is to monitor and review production processes and performance, inspect product in process and up to management inspection to guarantee all our products meet quality expectations and customer requirements prior to shipment.   • ISO 9001 experience
  • Mechanical and metal fabrication experience
  • Audit experience
  • Good level of technical skills – reading drawings and maths as well as computer literacy using MS Office and Quality Management Systems.

Maintenance Fitter

Somersby, Gosford & Central Coast NSW

Join our Maintenance team to provide maintenance support across BAC's Factory and head office facility located at Somersby. This is a Monday to Friday roster 6:00am to 3:00pm.

Undertaking preventative and breakdown maintenance works for our plant equipment, and building maintenance, including diagnostics and fault finding, providing technical support to the team, process improvement of plant equipment, and ensuring all work is focused on supporting the achievement of the production plan, whilst meeting/exceeding BAC's productivity and safety goals.

About you:
  • Trade qualified or relevant skills and experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
  • In depth understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic circuits
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge
  • Equipment install and maintenance experience
  • Lathe and mill skills (manual equipment)
  • Disconnect & reconnect would be advantageous
  • MIG weld, TIG weld would be a advantageous
  • Intermediate level computer literacy and numeracy skills
  • Learning ability to understand BAC’s products and production
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Reliability, energy and enthusiasm to achieve our goals
